For outdoor sitting, which is better? Wooden or plastic chairs and tables?
Which would be more environmentally friendly? That might not really need replacing after a period of time?
The price difference would help too.
Thank you. :)

Environmentally friendly, long lasting, or inexpensive
Im afraid you will only be able to pick two of these choices at a time...

Sturdier: wood
Longer lasting: plastic resin, unless you get expensive wooden (teak) that has been treated properly
More expensive: wood
More environmentally friendly: probably wood. Plastic resins use petroleum products and give off fumes while curing. Wood means a tree has to be cut down. But, they replace trees when they cut them down for logging.

Wood is probably more environmentally friendly. Depending if you stain or seal it, and where you place your furniture, will determine the longevity of its life.
Polywood is a great alternative to wood. It is more expensive than wood but it is practically maintenance free.
I wouldn't personally bother with plastic chairs and tables. They typically don't last very long and are not very durable, but are definitely cheap.
